I thought it would be helpful to provide you with a sample email that you can copy and paste, and send off to your friends and neighbors so that we can really make some $$ at the equipment sale.  REMEMBER:  We need the equipment by the 15th of January so the boys will have time to make everything sparkle!  Your help is so greatly appreciated!!!
Dear Friends and Neighbors!

Los Alamitos Boys baseball program is holding an equipment sale to upgrade our fields into the first class shape that our program is!  We need your help.  While you are putting the holiday decorations back into the garage, would you mind looking around for some old sports equipment from any sport that you might be able to donate to our sale?  We promise that the money earned will really go far to fix our fields, and bring them up to 2010 standards.

Of course you will get a tax deduction for your generosity, and we will get that form to you for your tax return.

Any help that you could provide would be so greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance for your help.  The boys are so excited to play on top notch fields!

Please start gathering all your old equipment from any and all sports.  The booster parents voted and they want the sale to be all sports, to make more money.  Please ask your friends and relatives for equipment as well. The more we have the more we'll make!
Think about it: 25 bats at $25.00, 25 gloves at $20.00  20 cleats at $5.00 50 pants at $3.00 50 baseball card packets at $5.00 etc. etc.  You do the math, we can make some great money for the program and it WON"T COST YOU A DIME!!  AND everyone who donates gets a tax deduction form!
We need to have all the equipment by mid January so we have time to clean it up and make the items sparkle!!  Please drop it off at:

Let's start a NEW baseball tradition of giving our old equipment to our community's aspiring athletes at remarkable savings, and earn additional revenue for the program at the same time.  It is a win win for all, and a great time to bond as a baseball family.
